Types of Marketing Campaigns

We explored the different types of marketing campaigns I can create to help build brand awareness and connect with more potential consumers.

Tips and advice
These types of marketing campaigns are a great tool for offering advice and personal opinions on relevant topics. They can create a mutual bond with customers on subjects they share an interest in, or can spark conversations and debates which are examples of interactions that can strengthen brand and customer relationships.

Offers and promotions
I’ve learnt that using offers and promotions can be a great tool to build brand loyalty and a stronger regular following by subscribed users. Everyone loves a bargain, and by offering something at a promotional price it creates interest and customers will be much more willing to make a purchase if they feel it is of good value.

Explainers
Explainer campaigns are another good way of giving something back to my audience for free. It can come in the form of a written or video tutorial such as a recipe guide, which have the ability to position my brand as a voice of authority by showing consumers that i’m educated in a particular field.

Competitions
Quizzes and competitions can be done in a variety of ways, and are particularly successful when incorporating social media into the mix. I can use competitions to encourage new and existing consumers to connect with me.

Opportunities
I can use opportunities to boost my relationships with fellow freelancers and repeat clients, by letting them know about new projects i’m working on and discuss potential opportunities to collaborate with them.

Fundraising
This type of campaign can be used to show that my business is ethical and gives back to the community. It would be a great PR tool.

Events
Letting people know about events I will be attending will encourage people to connect with me in person. I can also use printed promotional material to give out at events, so that potential clients will have something physical to remember me by.

Celebrations
I have learned how celebrating company milestones publicly can benefit my brand; it lets others know about my company’s success rate as well as humanising my brand by showing company personnel celebrations such as birthdays, or announcing new members of staff.

Product launch
A product launch is an important campaign to build early on. I have learnt that creating interest before the product launch date is important to drive demand and build anticipation, for products, before they go on sale. I can also offer early bird discounts to my subscribed followers.
